Mission:

You will contribute to the mechanical development and continuous improvement of the AR3, working across design, prototyping, testing and implementation. You’ll have the opportunity to work hands-on with a complex UAV, solve real engineering challenges and see your work go from concept to a product that actually flies.

Main Responsabilities:

  • Support the mechanical development and continuous improvement of the AR3;

  • Translate engineering requirements and ideas into practical, functional and manufacturable mechanical designs;

  • Design, adapt and improve mechanical components and assemblies using CAD tools;

  • Build, adapt and test prototypes, iterating on designs based on testing and real-world results;

  • Support the development of product changes, from initial concept and design through prototyping, testing and implementation;

  • Identify mechanical issues and contribute to root cause analysis and practical solutions;

  • Work closely with Engineering, Design, Manufacturing and other teams to bring products and improvements into production;

  • Consider manufacturability, materials, assembly and fabrication methods throughout the design process;

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the AR3 platform.

Profile & Rqeuirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a related field (mandatory);

  • Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software (preferred);

  • Previous experience in mechanical design, product development, prototyping or a similar environment is valued;

  • Knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials and manufacturing processes;

  • Familiarity with fabrication methods such as 3D printing, machining and moulding is valued;

  • Good level of English (B2 or above); Portuguese is a plus;

  • Hands-on and practical mindset, with a willingness to work directly with physical products and prototypes;

  • Proactive, curious and solution-oriented;

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail;

  • Team player, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can evolve quickly.

  • Willingness to work on-site across both Caldas da Rainha and Leiria.
