Job Description:

Tekever is a leading global provider of innovative unmanned systems, security, and communication solutions. We are seeking a Safety Engineer to join our Airworthiness team. As a Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting safety assessments, helping to define certification programmes, and ensuring that our products meet industry safety standards. You will work closely with the design and engineering teams to identify and mitigate potential hazards, while ensuring full alignment with airworthiness processes and directives.

What you'll own

  • Conduct safety assessments, identifying and mitigating hazards from early design through certification

  • Be the primary point of contact between the Product Team and the Airworthiness Department

  • Perform design reviews and schematic inspections for functional safety compliance

  • Develop safety requirements and specifications for new products and features

  • Ensure Airworthiness Directives and mandated tools are applied consistently across the product lifecycle

  • Prepare safety reports, documentation, and safety cases to regulatory standards

  • Join Agile/Scrum sprint planning to embed safety thinking from day one of each design cycle

  • Stay ahead of evolving UAS regulations and certification frameworks

Who we're looking for

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive, or Aeronautical Engineering (or related field).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Clear communicator who can bridge technical and regulatory teams without losing nuance

  • Comfortable working both independently and inside a fast-moving multidisciplinary team

  • Familiarity with safety standards: DO-178, DO-254, ARP-4754, ARP-4761, ASTM F3309M-20, MIL-STD-882

  • Experience with FTA, FMEA, or other safety analysis techniques

  • Knowledge of UAS regulations: (EU) 2019/945, (EU) 2019/947, SORA, Special Conditions Light-UAS

  • Systems engineering principles and lifecycle management

  • Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment
